The YouTube Vevo videos were filtered out of the MC default YouTube searches a while back, because they wouldn't play any longer. That was caused by a change in the YouTube API I believe, and not a MC issue. They are DRM'ed files or something like that. A search of the forum for "Vevo" should find more information.

To play the audio from such sources you will need to use the WDM Audio Driver MC21 installs. Then you can launch any external program, browser or Application, that will play the Vevo videos, and play the audio through MC.

Search around for how to launch external programs from within MC, and how to set up URL links in MC.
Read this: http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/WDM_Driver, search the forum for "Manage Links", and check out Tools > Links > Manage Links.

Yeah, VEVO videos are a no-go due to the DRM.

seems theres always a down side or am i missing something?

If not I will go  back to original default. But I could get the search to work as long as I didn't access you tube though theater view

Thanks again

To get sound from the Movie Channel, through MC (with all its audio processing advantages), using Explorer, you need to have at least MC Server running in the background. If you don't use the Server, you need MC itself running, but it can be minimised.

See "Options/Startup/Windows Startup/Run on Windows Startup" and set it to "Media Server" or "Media Center and Media Server".
