I am testing using MC21 (21.0.23) to record television shows and then sync the episodes of the shows to a device.  I have a smart playlist created that will contain only TV Shows.  When I attempt to sync, most of the TV episodes will not sync because MC thinks the files are duplicates.  I found this post (https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=56600.0) from 2010, which seems to suggest how MC determines whether or not a file is a duplicate.
If the information is true, then it would appear that a potential fix would be for MC to populate the "Track #" field with an episode number or episode date.
How have others resolved this?  I have attached a screen shot illustrating the problem.

Apparently no one else is having this problem.  After some testing, I did determine that applying the following tag in the Recording Options took care of the issue:
    Track#: formatdate(now(), %YMMdd)
