I have a Rega DAC-R connected to my computer. Before today was connected via cheap printer cable and equally cheap extension to acheive 10 feet. Today I replaced the cheap cable set up with a Kimber Kable. So I know that my screeching issue is not related to cable.
I noticed this since I have had my Rega DAC-R. A screeching sound when ever I click on a song file to play it. I've had the Rega Dac for a couple months. I can't remember if it did it when I had my ASUS Xonar but I think it did.
This only happens in JRiver. My version is MC17. When I do this in Foobar it does not happen. I am using ASIO as the output mode and XMOS USB Audio 2.0 ST 2026 (The rega driver) as the device.
Can anyone tell me where I might look to solve this issue?
