Just starting out - jriver automatically imports my existing files...

I just bought media center today. It automatically is importing my files. These are mostly ITune mp3 files. I am getting jriver to upgrade to better quality files, so should I import Itune files at all? What is the best format for jriver files? Do I have to reload my entire music library? I have most of my files on  cd, will that work?

Just enjoy your tunes!  For the best quality consider reripping as lossless (I like APE but am a little partial!).
