JRiver Changing Cover Art
« on: April 08, 2016, 02:12:11 pm »

I do not have this option selected on import, but J River keeps changing my cover art from the original rip. Can anyone tell me why?

JRiver won't change your cover art.  Some other programs will.  WMP did.  Maybe others.

MC normally handles cover art as you'd expect it to, using the art inside the file, or in the Folder.jpg file (in the same directory), or in the Cover Art folder configured in Options.

However, if you have files mixed together from different albums, I have seen MC associate the wrong art with a file.  This has only happened in my (limited) experience with songs mixed together in the same directory.

As Jim said, MC doesn't just change cover art unless you tell it to.

Brian.

Thanks for this comfort everyone. Do you know if Groove music could be the thing doing it? Windows 10 is doing that annoying default app reset thing all the time to me and occasionalyl I will open in there by accident!

Try an Internet search to see if others report problems.
