TV Recording Lip Sync Issue
« on: April 29, 2016, 01:39:28 pm »

I am using MC 21.0.72 to record 16:9 DVB-T2 TV shows in the UK and if I save these in .jtv format they play ok in MC but always show in the iOS app or via DLNA server in 4:3 format regardless of any settings I can change. So I manually converted .jtv to .ts and they play fine in all situations.

However, if I choose to save all recordings in .ts format automatically, they ALWAYS have very significant lip sync issues making them unusable.

I have tried all the options available to me but with no success!

Any ideas or is this a "bug"?

There is a lip-sync correction feature (it is useful if all the TV shows have the same amount of off-sync) it's at Tools>Options>Video>Advanced.

Regarding your lip sync question, take a look at this entry in the Wiki:
wiki.jriver.com/index.php/VideoClock
This also might offer some benefit.
