I was testing the new TV logging for MC21.

When i noticed some missing recordings.
I found out that the show "the late show with stephen colbert"
Either had a guest host or it's a tv listing error. Because it was called the late show with James Corden
So i'm going to change my recording rule to just "the late show"

However should it have been logged that it missed a daily recording?

The TV log is still in preliminary stage.  I am going to add more logging.  However, depending on how you set up your recording rules, some "missing" recordings are just mismatches and probably due to rules that are not quite correctly set.  In such cases it is difficult to decide what to put in the log, without flooding it with useless info.

I understand it's new. Just giving some feedback.

I'm trying to think if i have set a recording to daily. What should happen when they have a week off.
Or even worse i have a weekly recording but it's the odd season.

But part of me knows i want to know if something is not going to record.
Are there any example of other DVR's that have notifications? I have never used any.

In case you haven't figured it out yet, James Corden is a separate talk show that airs right after Colbert on the same channel.  They usually just show reruns of talk shows if they have the week off instead of not showing them at all.
