« on: April 26, 2016, 11:23:02 am »

I've searched forum & web and can't resolve that issue in subject. I've tried to add it manually in Theater View setup, but can't find it :(
I use MC21 with two tuner setup on Win 10. It works ok in standard view

It's empty. I don't load any EPG XML data and JRiver can't pull out info from broadcast directly.
Can I  just see a list of channels and switch between them?

If you are seeing your TV stations/channels/EPG in the Standard View, and not in Theater View, then it would suggest to me that the Theater View setup is wrong.

Do you have a default Theater View? If yes, you could "reset" the view (Tools>Options>Theater View then "Reset" is located next to the Items To Show box.

If you have a custom Theater View setup, you may not want to Reset which would remove all your custom work. If this is the case, you can check the setup for "Guide". Click on Guide to select it, then on "Set Rules For File Display".

You should have (for rules):
Custom [TVTime]=>#TVGuideStartDate
Custom -[=TVInfo(ChannelKeywords)&DataType=
    ]=
[Hidden]
Custom [=TVInfo(IsOnNonTopGroupedChannel)]=[0]
[/list]

EDIT: Sorry - ignore the stuff above, it is not displaying correctly, the forum/website is changing what I post here.

When EPG is empty, the Guide grid is empty.  This is by design.

You can customize Theater view by adding a "TV Channels" library item, next to Guide for example, and use the two rules as shown in the attached screen shot.  (You can ignore the Sort By items in the screenshot, most of which do not make sense.  You should instead create your own sorting rules).

I'm glad I found this thread.  I was having a devil of a time getting Theater View to show the tv guide.  Solved the whole thing by doing the "Reset".

I tried to use Kodi and NextPVR, but recordings weren't dependable.  Had skips, blips and sync issues. Plus, it won't record to a NAS without high level computer shenanigans.   So I tried to install TVHeadend on my NAS, but couldn't figure out how to get the EPG info interfaced.  So much for (trying to) kicking JRiver to the curb.  I shelled out for an updated license, got the Theater View working right, and it recorded to my Synology NAS flawlessly.
I guess I'm here to stay.
