I now use /MCWS/v1/Control/MCC?Command=28033 and command 28032.

It works from my remote control but :

I have the following audio tracks:

english
french
italian
english with comments

Now:
- sending http(blabla)/MCWS/v1/Control/MCC?Command=28033&Parameter=-1 will select english.
- sending once again /MCWS/v1/Control/MCC?Command=28033&Parameter=-1 will still select english
--> is this how it should work ?

Because :

- sending /MCWS/v1/Control/MCC?Command=28033&Parameter=0 will select englisch
- sending /MCWS/v1/Control/MCC?Command=28033&Parameter=1 will select french
- sending /MCWS/v1/Control/MCC?Command=28033&Parameter=2 will select italian
- sending /MCWS/v1/Control/MCC?Command=28033&Parameter=3 will select english with comments

So it looks like the function is actually "selecting" the tracks. Would there be an ability to have a MCC audio /subtitle command which would switch through available tracks? ie. with each command it would actually switch to the next track ? 1->2->3->4->1 etc....

This is theoretically how it should work, -1 should toggle forward and -2 backwards. This does not work? The others selecting a specific track do work, I assume?
I can poke it a bit later and see if I can reproduce.

Thanks for looking into it if you have a second....very much appreciated.

to your questions :
no it does not toggle forward (-1) nor backwards (-2)
yes parameters 1,2 etc do select

BTW command 28032 with parameter -1 for subtitles does toggle but in 3-steps increments. it goes from subtitle 0 to 3

So I just tested and it works perfectly for me. Audio and Subtitle tracks cycle through just fine.
Is there anything in particular "odd" about the files you're trying to play that may cause the behavior to break? I was playing an ordinary MKV with multiple audio and sub tracks.

Maybe your remote control accidentally sends the commands several times?

Thanks Hendrik,

Actually I am at a loss...but I found out that only certain mkv's behave like that....whilst other work as you describe it.

I'll have to make some test as some of my mkv are makemkv results only whilst I played around others with mkvtoolnix
