client loses server on MC21 & MC22

please help have completely lost library on server client even after reverting back to MC21.
Tools>options>Media Network   shows no means of correcting.

Restore a backup.  MC makes them automatically.

more detail:
Friday everything OK. 2 clients  laptop & kindle-fire using Gizmo.
Saturday power cut while out [have UPS].
late Saturday laptop and Kindle-fire clients not seeing server.

server shows 2 locations for backup libraries:
1 = File>Library>Library Restore>E:\Users\Geoff\Documents\JRiver\Media Center 21\Library Backups\  showing MC Library Backup (Main Library - 2015-08-14)  as latest
2 = Tools>Options>File Location>E:\Documents and Settings\JRiver\Media Center 21\Library backups| showing MC Library Backup (Main Library - 2016-06-04)  as latest.

What do I do please.

Try the second one.  It has a newer date.

Given the power failure, there might also be an new issue with your router that may be blocking access to the server. Can your laptop see your server using Windows Explorer?

If you have made any changes on your server in the last month I would do a backup of your current library before reverting to an old one in case the issue is not just the library.

You should have a backup newer than a month ago. MC should be making them every couple of days. You may have a newer one in a different location.

restoring appears to have reverted MC21 to 1 location only, correct one.

from above would you advice its OK to update now to MC22?

Also, know that if you have MC22 on the server you need to have MC22 on the clients. MC21 and MC22 don't work together.
