External skins are supported.  External skins work.

Is your objection that the "out of the box experience" should be more Mac like?  If so, I guess I mostly agree with you.  The JRiver out of the box look definitely is not Mac-Like.  When I first got JRiver MC I didn't want to like it because it was relatively ugly by comparison to other music player apps.  So I know what you mean.  I kept with it and eventually tried other skins and found ones that I like better.  Now my everyday skin looks NOTHING like a Mac type skin that's all grey and shiny.

...and yes, it would probably be better if there were a more Mac-Like skin included out of the box so new users would see something familiar and comfortable.

Anyway, don't be resistant to using new skins.  I haven't found any so far that were any kind of problem.  Just install them (which is just copying files) and use them.  If you don't like them, use another.  If both of you guys are very into the "Mac Look", you might like one of the Fusion X skins. They are VERY itunes-like.

What can you not do with Mission Control and MC that you'd like to do?  I've tested it and you can assign MC to a Desktop just like any other program.  Just drag and drop it from the main Mission Control interface screen.

LETRA:
Thanks for the links and commentary. Yes, I understand. I'm JRiver user since version 18 and Linux and Mac version from the 20. Master License also. Just I didn't know I had to consult the forum to learn how to install skins because the program can't install the standard mjp package. I agree that this causes very bad impression to other Mac users. The default skins are all horrible, except for a couple. The user can search new skins but it will be difficult to find a message in a forum to tell you how. Along the way many clients of this program are lost. Those who recommend JRiver know what the complaints are. Only heroes arrive at the end of the road (paid) for a version of JRiver for Mac :)

I can create a new desktop and assign it, but I can't maximize the window like a space mission control. My setup is El Capitan with two monitors LG Ultrawide & Mac Mini 2102 with I7, 16GB RAM and Intel HD 4000 Graphics.

What does that mean?  My MC, in it's own desktop, can be maximized to take up the whole screen just by pressing the green button to maximize it.

Are you complaining that MC doesn't support Mac's native "full screen" function, which automatically puts full screen apps in their own desktop?  Or is there something else I'm missing?

Brian.
