Author Topic: Play silence at startup for hardware synchonization (not working anymore?)  (Read 1944 times)

Hello,

I noticed that the option "Play silence at startup for hardware synchonization" doesn't seem to work anymore.

My setting was 1 second, because my rig is connected via optical wire and always misses the first fraction of a song when i don't use this option.
But for a couple of weeks now, i noticed it doesn't seem to work anymore.

Is this a known problem?

EDIT: it seems like it works, but not with sequential album tracks. Here it still misses the first beat. And i have gapless playback for sequential album tracks ON.

Regards,

Eric

  • Shoes gone again!

I'm not able to reproduce any problem.

It won't play between tracks since it's already playing at that point.  It's only "cold starts" where it plays.

I think it might engage if you manually switch tracks in a playlist.

Thanks for your reply, i'm beginning to think that there's something else wrong.
The problem occured with album A, today i tried album B, and no problem.
Now tried album A again, and the next songs plays but with no sound at all... Maybe something is wrong with the FLAC-file itself.
