How to add Streaming Radio Stations?
« on: August 16, 2016, 04:09:55 pm »

I have yet another stupid question:

I am trying to add my favorite streaming radio stations. I have JMC22 installed on both Yosemite and LEAP 42.1.
On the Mac I get "Internal Error 500"
On Linux I get "Not Implemented on this Platform"
I tried both MP3, AAC, OGG, .m3u variations of the streams, same errors always.

Example streams:
http://stream-tx3.radioparadise.com/mp3-192
http://radioparadise.com/m3u/mp3-128.m3u

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,
Dave

A quick question for the JRiver staff:

Is streaming radio implemented in the Linux version of MC?

I run MC21 on Manjaro. Entering a url does nothing. No playback at all. I've got a second machine running MC22 on Mint 18. Again nothing happens.

VLC opens all the streams I've tried and runs fine.

If it's not a feature of the Linux version of MC, then I'll just use VLC for radio listening. If it is implemented, I don't mind putting some time in to try and get it working.

File->Open URL
put in the URL
check the "show web media options...." box
Then OK
Next dialog,  check "add stream to web media" box

You should be set. Both of your URLS worked for me.

Same answer as above.
