Search and Find/Replace on Date not working

(1/2) > >>

AndrewFG:
I don't know if this is due to regional settings (I am in Europe) but if I have a media file with a Date tag of (say) February 11th 2016 then it displays in MC as 11.02.2016 -- However when I use the Search box for 11.02.2016 it does not find anything. Furthermore if I use the Find & Replace function (say) Find 11.02.2016 / Replace 12.02.2016 it reports zero changes.

JimH:
Not all fields are searchable by default.  You can change that by editing the field.  It's in the same place where you add fields.

Ah, that's interesting.

If you have done that once, does Date then get added persistently to the Search field?

Nevertheless, it still does not work for doing Find/Replace on Date fields.

Coming next build:
Changed: Made the Find & Replace tool work on the display of a field instead of the data so it works a lot better on dates.

As a workaround, you can easily search for the date you want in the search box.  Then highlight all results and edit the date field in the Tag Action Window.  Not too much effort.

But nice to see Matt is fixing this too.  :)

Brian.
