Search and Find/Replace on Date not working
AndrewFG:
^
My camera had the wrong Year programmed in it (2014 instead of 2016) whereas the Month and Day had been programmed correctly. So I need to just correct the Year part of my Date tags without touching the Month or the Day parts. (hopefully there were no pictures taken on a leap-year day..)
I think in this case that blgentry's proposed workaround of highlight all and change would risk changing also the Day and the Month parts of all highlighted files to the same (arbitrary) value.
Therefore I do very much welcome Matt's fix to Find/Replace which should allow me to change just the Year part of the date and leave the Month and Day parts untouched. => Many thanks Matt !!
blgentry:
I just tested it. It works fine. Search for year=1985 . Highlight all. Open Tagging Window. Find year. Edit. Done.
In my testing dates like 10/8/85 were changed properly to the same month and day, but the year was correctly changed.
Brian.

For me, this is the one feature that MC is missing, and has me repeatedly reaching for other software to correct... namely, updating the EXIF time stamp.
