Rotating background…
« on: August 19, 2016, 10:14:47 am »

So… after many failed attempts to solve my on-screen freezes in both ‘Theater View’ and ‘Standard View’ (Including, but not limited to multiple driver re-installs, Media Center re-installs and finally a complete OS re-install) I have decided to nuke my Media Center settings and start over. I’m happy to report that this action seems to of resolved the issue I was experiencing.

However, while restoring my settings manually I’ve come across an action I don’t recall seeing before. I have a custom theme I use with ‘Theater View’. Previously the background image was static, changing only when the view changed. Now, it rotates through the custom images I have in that folder.

Is there a setting for this?

And while I’m here, I thought setting the background image to ‘Black’ did just that. But, even with that setting enabled I still get the rotating background images. I suppose I could empty the folders of the offending images, but this wasn’t required before.

Current theme settings:

Background – Black
Image/video mix amount – Normal
Online media slideshow – Unchecked
Fadeout Cover Art in Playing Now Display – No

My apologies for this rather long-winded post… suggestions welcome.
