Visualizations that don't move -- can anyone help?

I spent this weekend catching guff from my older brother because his Media Center visualizations don't move.  Oscilloscopes are flat lines.  Spectrum analyzers are just stubby boxes.  3D visualizations are equally stale.

I've never seen it happen on any other computer.  So I'm hoping someone around here may have some clues.

Thanks for any help.

(his computer was a pretty new, pretty stock Compaq with XP home)

Happens the same on my computer and a computer from a friend only when in the Output format ( Dsp Studio ) the 5.1 Channels JRSS is activated, i have to put that to default to visualizations start to work normaly

The only visualizations I have troubles with are the 3D ones. All the others work fine.

The 3D ones... some of them work fine, others, notably the Terrain one, just don't do anything.

Some 3D visualizations still don't move.

Picture Terrain is completely stagnant.
Oscilloscope is very flat.
Text is mostly lifeless.

MC needs to start working on visualizations.  WinAmp wins hands down when it comes to visualizations.

I wish MC could load AVS plugins.
