Pause button/function does not work correctly

When playing files in standard view, pressing the pause button results in the IPC display (meaning WDM has been invoked) and all the files in "Playing Now" deleted from the playlist. No other applications (sound producing or otherwise) are running. When the Default Playback Device is changed from JRiver (meaning WDM is not being used) pause works normally.
This problem had occurred off and on in previous releases, but is consistent with Version 22 (with Windows 10 Anniversary Upgrade).

With the installation of 22.0.28 this no longer seems to be a problem.
