Trying just to use standard red October , it reads disc and goes to show did title on background, but will never play, it just stopped working in mc19 and I could get it to play if I went to advanced settings  he requires fast computer. If I used standard settings in mc19 I get playback error. If I used standard setting get key exchange for dvd copy protection failed. Can't play this video disc. Any ideas. Advanced setting plays but is really jittery in mc 19, can't get any playback at all in mc21

If it's just one disc, it may be a DRM problem.  A few discs are not playable.

It happens with all discs. Is there a standard did player that should be installed first. This machine runs mc only. Any ideas? Windows 7

Tried to install mc 22 still no luck, installed winVLC player, works great, looks fine. Replaced the dvd drive, still jittery, only works in mc 19 in red October fast computer and is sometimes jittery. If I use standard it gives me key error failure still, any help appreciated.

You likely need to be using AnyDVD with MC. MC can't decode copy protected discs by default - AnyDVD can and will on-the-fly.
