Wireless Setup for an Id
« on: April 21, 2022, 02:54:54 pm »

Configuring the WiFi can be a bit easier in GUI mode. The selected encryption type can be a problem.

Most access points use WPA 1/2 passphrase (not hex). Try changing it.

Toward the bottom of the configuration screen, change 'WPA 1/2 (hex)' to 'WPA 1/2 (passphrase)'. Then, enter the network password below. Make sure to save, and try connecting again.

Also, you can use a smart phone to configure it.

Connect to the Id as a network on an iPhone or Android. It will show up as Id-xxxxxxx where the xxxx is your Id's Id.
On an iPhone the wireless configuration will then immediately popup.
On an Android you connect to the network then open a browser and it should just popup the configuration when you try to open any site.
If it doesn't do that you can open

You may have to turn off the wired interface.  (On the Id)

As long as it's not plugged into an ethernet cable the wireless configuration page will be triggered within a minute of booting.
