SACD ISO Playback Over Network
« on: September 17, 2016, 09:02:53 am »

I have external HDs full of media connected to my samba-enabled router's USB port for experimental purposes. I can play pretty much all their content (which, of course, does not need CPU power on the source) on laptops and android devices...with one exception, SACD iso files on JRiver. I can already play them with bitstreaming setting with ease if they are on the same device with the player or by the same configuration if converted to dff but if I open or drag-drop from network the usual iso software launches... By the way, foobar does it without any modification to regular local settings. What am I missing?

I'm bumping this since I'm having the identical problem.  I thought JRiver MediaCenter could play ISO files?  If I try to 'play' the ISO file from within Media Center, it just brings up the Windows Disc Image Burner interface.  I'm not allowed the option of associating .iso files with JRiver MediaCenter (it's grayed out).

This is with Win 7-64 and JRiver 22.0.32

It's been a month, so I'll try bumping this.  Thought this might be an easy one for someone.  Would really like to be able to play ISOs in MC.

I'm probably out of my depth here, but I'm listening to a SACD iso as I type this. I selected the image file and it just openned and played without W10 getting involved. I set most of this a long while back so I may not have all the details. Have you tried the stuff here....

Apologies if this is too basic
