TIFF files are imported with wrong date

When importing a TIFF photo, MC (22.0.21) sets its date wrongly to the file date instead of the Date Taken exif value.

Actually it seems MC is not able to import any exif data from TIF files.
All standard photo tags are empty: Camera, Focal Length, ISO, etc.

This would be a very nice addition.  Picasa can but has been screwing things up lately not reading exif properly.

And in my case I was referring to .jpg and .mov files
