Why JRiver ISO sacd files larger than DSF equivalents

I hadn't gotten any responses to my inquiry about getting SACD ISO files to stream via DLNA to an OPPO 103. Lacking any responses to this, I looked at various options for SACD ISO to dsf conversion, and an ISO2DSF utility described on Computer Audiophile seems to work nicely. 

One thing I noticed is that the file sizes for the DSF files out of ISO2DSF are a lot bigger than those for the virtual SACD file equivalent in JRiver.  As an example - one file as a SACD type is 71.7 MB but as a converted DSF is 176 MB.  And the files are both 2 channel.

Why the big difference?

ISO is (generally) a compressed format.  DSF is uncompressed.  The usual ratio is about 2.5:1

Thanks for your response.  I was just curious.  The convert .dsf plays without issue.
