WDM Problem
« on: September 08, 2016, 04:25:59 am »

Managed to BSOD Windows 10 1607 64bit with an error in JriverWDMDriver.sys. Stop code Driver IRQL Not less or equal.

What did I do?

I started playing a track (with play doctor as it happens) but got no sound. D'oh! my mains powered USB DAC was still powered off. Turned it on and boom, the PC instantly BSOD with the above error.

My USB DAC is the default playback device.

I got the same BSOD with 32-bit Win10 several times (not exclusive to WDM, though). My problem seems to have been cured by using the latest MC and (in my case) ASIO drivers from MiniDSP. Are your crashes all the time? Mine were relatively infrequent yet annoying  ::)
