Hi

I'm pretty new to zwave devices I was thinking would it be possible to setup 2 way switching to independently control RGB led strip lighting?

I was thinking of getting these two devices to work in unison but don't want to buy them unless I know for sure I can wire them up correctly. The second device isn't a z-wave device, I just want that so I can mount it on a panel under my computer desk for manual adjustment.

One of the devices you mention is controlled by Zwave, the other by a proprietary remote.  No matter what our software does, it's not going to be able to directly control the second device.  You could replace the second device with a Z-Wave button controller to talk to Engen, and use Engen to control the Fibaro device.  The AEON Minimote would work well for this:

If you really want to use the second device, you will probably have to find some way to wire them together.   The Fibaro device manual says it has 4 analog inputs, so there may be some way to have the other device feed it a signal, and coordinate operation that way.  Or you could purchase a third device that merges the output of two independent devices.  Or some other way.  It seems this is an analog wiring and device configuration challenge.  Whether you can make this work or not probably depends on how much time and effort you put into the project.

I can confirm that color control and on off controllers work with the Fibaro LED controller using Engen.

It took some electronics setup, and I had to hack open a power supply and connect it to the device . Also had to wire in the RGBW leads from the led strip.

Aeon Labs is making a Z wave led strip, website says it will be released this year. All Aeon Labs stuff seems to work well with Engen.

Also, the Fibaro will dim the lights on a 0-100 scale.

Thanks for the response now I know it can be done, I'll start looking into it more. I like the idea of still having a proprietary option, keeping some of the old with the new, it's just for under my desk anyway, I like a challenge so it should be fun trying to figure it out
