DVB tv card support?
« on: July 29, 2003, 01:43:51 pm »

Have you guys though about DVB support in MC9?
There is now a complete free framework for handling these cards.

It is called dvbcore.
http://www.dvbcore.fromru.com/about.htm

This will have support for all plugins developed using the MD api for sat apps, which means minimal work for you guys.

I'd love to hear your ideas on this.

I know I'm new to MC9, but I wonder...

Would it be possible to for me to write an EPG interface for you hairstyle GUI, or is it limited to just the functionality you have today?

We'd love it if you'd do that.  You could check the developer board here for tools.  Once you've looked around, you might ask on the board there for advice.  Someone from JRiver or another developer may be able to help.

Thanks for the offer!

I just had a quick look at you typelib in VS.NET.

What should I be looking at for controlling the hairstyle mode... can't really see anything dedicated to this.

I found a thread:
http://www.musicex.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=dev;action=display;num=1059086042

Where it is mentioned that you can place a com reference in the main.xml.

That would be one, actually the easiest way to do this I guess.

I'll have to dig further into this, to see what events are fired when pressing buttons etc.
