Boy Is it messed up here in Fayetteville, nc

15 inches of rain, I95, 301 and many other roads closed down, 11+ dams breached

I still don't have power (running off a generator)

yep, right now the rivers are at a record high

More rain than hurricane Floyd that was a category 4 storm

Fayetteville, nc got the most rain out of all other places in NC, not sure about other states

the good news is last night right before 12am I got power back and it's still working!

My sympathies.  I lived in Miami through the 2 or 3 bad years when we had hurricane after hurricane.  Most recently I was without power for 3 days following Hermine coming through... and I don't even live in South Florida any more! 

It makes you realize just how fragile our society is and how teeny tiny small man is compared to what nature can do.

I95 opened up yesterday, after the water finally went down. there are parts that are damaged, flooded and still closed.
