Library sharing without dlna
« on: October 31, 2016, 10:55:24 am »

Is it possible to establish a jriver library server and share that library with client jriver machines while not using DLNA?

When you connect to the server, load the MC library, not it's DLNA library.

(On Server computer) You just go to Tools>Options>Media Network, check the box "Use Media Network and Enable DLNA", (don't check this box on the Client computer) then follow the steps to have MC create an "Access Key".
Then go to client machine and in Standard View, go to Playing Now>Add Library. Create a library name, like "server") and enter the Access Code, and MC will make the connection. I believe windows will then pop up a message asking if it is okay to let the Server connect through the firewall, or something like that.
