I'm running V. 22.0.30 on a Mac mini headless, connected via USB into a Pioneer LX87 amp. JRiver Mostly performs well and sound quality is excellent.
However, there are a couple of albums that I've discovered which are 'unplayable' due to the volume being so low it's inaudible. I've discovered this by doing an Audio analysis on the tracks - for example, the Volume Level (R128) on one of the albums in question ranges from -120.7LU down to -178.9LU - whatever that means! I'm guessing that these numbers are something to do with the problem as albums that play OK are nowhere near that range - -13.2LU is one such example.
The albums play on other software, (Audirvana, VLC etc), have been reimported and re converted from the original FLAC file (I run everything in AIFF)....any suggestions? Apologies for being verbose - newbie posting.
