Hi,
I have my desktop PC with JRiver and all my music. I spent time listening, tagging, organizing my JRiver libraries (>500GB of music). I want to buy a HTPC that will be in another room, with JRiver and all my music in it.
I want that when I modify/delete a file or modify my JRiver libraries etc. on my desktop PC, this modifications are applied on the HTPC (not in real time, just when both the PC and the HTPC are turned on).
I'm already facing this problem when I'm saving my PC files in a external hard drive with a backup sofware (SyncBack): having set JRiver to store tags in files, all the files that have been tags-updated since the last backup are recognized as new files and therefore have to be rewrite on the external hard drive. Not only this cause repeated writing/rewriting cycles on the hard drive, but backup takes often hours to finish because I often modify tags of many of my albums.
So is there a way to update tags files in a secondary hard drive synchronized with a primary hard drive without entirely rewriting files each time they are newly tagged in the primary hard drive?
I would like to avoid NAS because there are expensive and I haven't much room.
Thanks in advance
