Hi,

I recently got a Asus transformer book  with windows 10

it is configured to turn off the screen after 5min, and go to sleep after 15 min.
however, as soon as the screen turn off,  the music stop 2 or 3 second after.

from what I have read online when the screen turn off it enter a "connected standby mode, it seems to cut of some stuff to save battery. and probable the reason why the music stop.

I know media center can prevent windows to go to a reel sleep,  is it possible to also make it prevent windows to turn off the screen or to enter in that mode??
or even better to be able to keep the music playing while in that mode??

In Windows Control Panel, you can modify the Power settings.

doing it on a global way isn't the solution, I still want the screen to turn off when not in use.
I found a way within media centre to prevent to turn off the display which works well.

But it would be a really big plus if it was possible to have the music playing even when the screen turns off

If you are playing music through the HDMI output and losing your audio because that is the screen that is being put to sleep, there is no other solution than to prevent the display sleep (the reason the option exists in JRiver). HDMI audio is clocked to the video signal, thus no video = no audio.

Disable turning off the screen, but then enable a screen saver after 5 minutes.  Choose 'blank' as the screen saver.  It won't turn off the display, but it will blank it out.
