How to Change Media Type
« on: July 24, 2003, 09:57:13 am »

I was over at my father's doing some computer maintenance for him, and attempting to do some clean-up work on his separately licensed installation of MC9, but ran into a weird problem.

For some reason, he now has a large number of audio tracks in his library marked with Media Type "Unknown" even though the file type is MP3, or some other legitimate and playable audio file.  This makes view filtering to Show Only Audio Files impossible.  I have not yet been able to find a way to change the Media Type field.  How can tracks be changed from one Media Type to another?  I would prefer to not have to hack the Library file, though I'm not opposed to it if that's necessary.

Thanks in advance,

Next build you'll be able to change it if you need.
