I'm using MC on several Windows machines but I'm intrigued to try out the Linux version.

However, part of the appeal for me with MC is its DSP engine and I'm not sure from browsing several threads whether MC Linux have full-fledged DSP functionality or not. Specifically, I'm concerned about the convolver and VST hosting.

I believe that DSP features in the Linux version are the same as in Windows.

The convolution works just fine on Linux. VST is another matter, as you would need a VST thats specifically designed to actually work on Linux, and I'm not aware that such things generally exist. If one would exist, we could make sure that it works in MC (if it doesn't today).

Thanks guys, that's encouraging. I use the convolver for the main system but VST-based EQ wth my headphones (to make HD800's listenable... ).

I had a look online and there seems to be a few options around for running VST plugins under Linux but not sure any of them are that easy to integrate into MC. Seems easier to incorporate a VST host for VST plugins especially compiled for Linux only (they do exist).
