Berliner Philharmoniker Digital Hall
« on: January 09, 2017, 11:32:05 am »

Hi guys.  I made a subscription to the Berliner Philharmoniker Digital Hall (https://www.digitalconcerthall.com/en/home) and I'm wondering if it is possible to access it using JRemote.
Please understand I'm completely new to live streaming with JRiver, so maybe I'm missing something obvious; anyway, I may access the service from JRiver using File/Open URL, but my music server is configured headless (except for the plasma display) so I have to access the PC with a remote desktop App for iPad.
Thanks.

I think the only way is to add it to a playlist.  Start it playing, then right click on it in Playing Now and choose Send to Playlist.

Thanks Jim, but unfortunately it doesn't work.
BTW, I was partialy wrong: with Open URL I may open the web page, but it opens in the web browser (not inside JRiver), so I have nothing in Playing now.
I think it's because the site is copy protected. :-(

A copy protected stream won't work.

I have Digital Concert Hall (a favorite of mine) playing in JRiver MC 22, but I don't see how to right-click on Playing Now.

What I did:

1) Navigate to Audio - Connected Media, Added Digital Concert Hall, added the URL https://www.digitalconcerthall.com/en/home, logged in.
2) Chose a recorded (I think DGH calls this "archived") concert, eg, Merek Jonowski conducts Verdi's Requiem via Go to Concert.
3) Clicked on Watch Concert.

The concert's video and sound are playing inside the JRiver MC window.

But, as I said, I don't see Playing Now in order to right-click.

Back to this.

I'm playing a recorded concert in MC from the Digital Concert Hall, using the technique I described. It's coming through my computer's speakers. Is there a way to send it to the Classe CP-800 preamp that I use to hear ripped CDs (played through MC)?

look at windows sound and see if you can make it your default playback device.

if you can't make that work try the WDM Driver porvided by MC

Interesting idea. Unfortunately, the CP-800 doesn't show up in Sounds. In File Manager, the CP-800 shows up as a Media Device, which doesn't appear eligible for the default sound device.

I'm unsure whether the WDM driver could deal with the CP-800, as the CP-800's sole connection is via the local network.

unfortunately the DCH (digitalconcerthall) do not offer any API. It is just a Flash based web page.
I use TeamViewer to use the remote mc build in web browser.
I discussed the headless htpc user base issues with DCH. They are not interested to offer a solution.
