jremote will not play certain m4a files with Media Center 22
« on: January 10, 2017, 07:09:52 am »

The 24/96 m4a files that wouldn't play using jremote I switched to Flac 24/96 and they played.  Removing cover art did nothing.  These were ripped from Blu Ray by the way using MacMKV and DVD Audio Extractor.  These m4a files play using MC 22 but not with jremote. Smaller m4a bit rates fare better.  Has there been a fix since the earlier posts in 2015?

Yes, it seems to be only 24/96 files ripped from Blu Ray audio.  Downloaded tracks from HDTracks seem to play OK in m4a format.  I am now attempting to burn a Blu Ray audio using the same software, but into FLAC format to see if the software is the problem.

So, I used the same software as with the m4a conversion of Blu Ray but converting to FLAC instead and the files played using jremote.  So there must be a problem in playing back hi res m4a files using jremote when they are ripped from a blu ray audio disc.
