JRiver 22.0.59 is creating new but bad files
« on: January 25, 2017, 08:22:55 am »

Hello!

I have a problem with importing data into JRiver MediaCenter:

These screenshots (see attachments, please) show two albums, but there is only one (!) on the hard disk.
In this example, track # 8 is created by JRiver each time it is restarted, and the new file do not exist and can not be executed. Even if I delete the album with all tracks number 8, it is there again at the next JRiver MC start.
The artist name in the new album is much longer than in the existing artist name. I have no idea where that comes from. This is an exception with the artist name, in other cases, see the Haydn example, the name remains the same.
For comparison with the tagging, please look at the Mp3tag picture in the attachments.

This phenomenon, which the JRiver software creates new tracks, is not an isolated case - with different tracks at the beginning, middle, and end of a CD. Each time a new library import is finished, new but bad tracks are created - Always the same CDs are affected and always the same tracks.

A screenshot with a Haydn-CD I send also. However, the artist name remains the same.

Do you have any idea where to find the solution? Thank you very much for every support!

Best regards and have a good day.

Hello. MC does not replicate files...most likely you have a .cue file find it and delete it.
