Low/High Pass Filter Type?
« on: January 26, 2017, 02:29:51 pm »

Are the low pass/high pass filters in PEQ Butterworth or Linkwitz?  The low pass sounds like a BW type with a hump in the curve.    Do I understand correctly that LinkwitzRiley 24dB filters can be created by stacking two BW 12dB filters of the same cutoff frequency?

They are BW2 and yes you can stack them to create an lr4

Thank you and for all your help on the other issues.   You know being able to get the sub crossover and the digital input to work under JRiver I can get rid of about $1200 of outboard gear and get better sound as well!

Just to be clear, to create just a low pass LR4 in MC (I run mains full range so not high passed) I create two instances of the 12dB lowpass filters with identical crossover frequencies for the subs?
