192/24 to dsd 128
« on: January 29, 2017, 08:15:53 am »

hi
I was thinking of converting 24/192 to dsd 128.
Would there be any benefit?
I can play dsd 64 , 128 dsd through arcam irdac 2.
I contacted arcam, to see if the irdac 2 plays 64 128 natively,
They told me yes, no dop required.

Would it be pointless to convert??
Any sq benefits??

Thank you in advance

Honestly? There's no benefit in my opinion.

It depends on your DAC and the rest of your equipment and your hearing. Give it a try and see what you think.

Thank you for the input.
I converted dsd 64 to 128, in blind test.
It sounded slightly better, in 128.

Will try 192 to 64 or 128.
See what's what.
