upnp volume control
« on: February 07, 2017, 03:25:30 pm »

Hi,
i'm testing jriver for mac in combination with an cambridge stream magic. UPNP is working fine, but the volume control mapping is wrong. for example 5% volume is -50db, 7% volume -44, 11% volume -30 and 20% is -0db. anything above 20% doesn't have any effect.

Is there a way to adjust this? Happy to provide debug data.

Thanks

That's likely an issue with the renderer not providing the correct scaling for the volume control.
You could do some testing with a UPnP tool to verify that if you are interested.
I don't know of any Mac specific ones. For Windows there is the free UPnP tools for Developer package.
