Analyze Audio stores localized data
« on: March 04, 2017, 08:30:12 am »

Is it intended that the Analyze Audio tool stores localized data in the tags "PEAK LEVEL (R128)" and "PEAK LEVEL (SAMPLE)"?

Example:
PEAK LEVEL (R128) = -5,9 dBTP; -5,9 Links; -6,0 Rechts; -11,0 Zentr.; -10,9 Subwf.; -8,2 SurLi.; -8,8 SurRe.
PEAK LEVEL (SAMPLE) = -5,9 dB; -5,9 Links; -6,0 Rechts; -11,0 Zentr.; -10,9 Subwf.; -8,2 SurLi.; -8,8 SurRe.

Yes, it's intended but it's optional. Under Configure auto-import (located in MC's Options > Library & Folders) there's an option to disable tag writing for analyze audio and a few other things.

Might be you misunderstood me, I do not want to disable tag writing.
I am just a surprised that the channel names are in German and not, as I would assume are just L,R,C,LFE,SL,SR or something similar.

Any software utilizing such data will for sure not understand German or any other foreign language.
Could it be this is a bug?
