Streaming (linking) from Media server to JRemote

Hello
I purchased jremote over a year ago and have never been able to stream what is playing on my media server to my jremote.
I have the latest version of MC22 on my pc running Windows 10.
I have JRemote on my iphone 6.
I do notice in the Zones area of jremote on my iphone that the link icon is not on "This Device" and the current zone is player and the sound icon.
Not sure if this is causing the problem!
I need help getting this figured out

I dont think you can "push" music from your pc to jremote, it's more the other way round. On your iphone, you can either use it as a remote for your pc i.e. "Player" equals where mc is running, or play music on your iphone with zone equals "this device"; but you choose what to play using jremote not using mc itself.

xubuntu lts 14.04 32 bit, running mc22.0.36 as anything later doesn't work properly over vnc. using linux mc22 as media server to windows mc22 last version / jremote on ipad.
