Hi,

I'm trying to make a vinyl rip to 24/96 FLAC or AIFF. I've never done this before but I'm hoping some of you have and could share your process with us.

Hi

yes, just connect your turntable to an AD, sample with a DAW and you get flac-files.
Flac Files you import into JRiver and enjoy.

yes the AD, turntable, phonopramp (RIAA) anfd the pick-up influnece heavily the quality.  And your LP for sure.
hum is a common problem, first optimize that.
There is cleaning software to get rid of click, cracks rumble etc. to some extent only.

Do you know any companies that do vinyl rips? Unfortunately, the only turntable I have is very old. Thanks so much for the info. I hope to get into vinyl eventually. I’m currently engrossed in DSD and loving it!
