Change TV audio stream in theater view
« on: February 26, 2017, 06:05:23 am »

I think this feature has already been asked for somewhere, but I can't find it anymore.
It would be really nice to add the ability to switch audio streams, for television, and possibly media files with multiple streams, directly from theater view, using the down arrow.
I know it can be done with a right click to select it, but it's counterproductive in theater view when you want to use a remote being on your couch.
Can I hope to see that coming in a future release ?

A direct remote access would actually work too, like found on most external media players an BD players, one direct audio button to switch audio streams and another one for subtitles.

The OSD in Playing Now can do this through the Up/Down navigation, for both audio and subtitles.

I don't have playing now when watching TV :(
And when I watch series I use play all in the series folder, so I don't have that menu either.
Any chance to get it there ?

When you play any video, you are in Display View, which has the OSD.

Yes but I don't have any audio or subtitle options in the OSD, I only have an audio option when I right clic the video.
Using latest MC22, but I just upgraded from 21 so not a fresh install.

Use the arrow keys, up, down, right, and left.

Yes I know, but I tell you, there are no options at all in any of the 5 or 6 different menus for audio, I can do a video of it if you need proof...
In what OSD is it supposed to be ? The one with all the settings like brightness or a specific one ?

Works for me. When I play a file with multiple audio streams, I can select one there.

And what about OTA TV (with a hauppauge card) ? That's mainly for that that I'm looking for the feature.
When I right clic the video in the audio submenu I can see the multiple streams, but only the first one has a name, the other 2 ones don't, juste the PID, maybe it's the problem

I just tried a blu ray and yes the 2 menus are there in the OSD, so I think it's only with OTA TV that it's not there.

Ctrl + Shift + L
Map this to your remote control and you get direct access to audio streams

Not working :(
From keyboard or remote, television behaves differently than the rest of the videos.
