Whenever I try to run JR22 in my Linux Gallium OS chromebox it gives the error

"This database will be opened in read-only mode"

I cant figure out how to fix this.  It seems there is a file to delete in the mac/windows version, but I cant find it in Linux.  I installed this before with no problem.  Tried restarting several times and reinstalling with no luck.  This is my first post, sorry if I'm doing something wrong.  Thanks!

My experience is that this happens when the database is already open somewhere on that computer. Could this be the case?

I have restarted again a few times, and checked the task manager.  I closed it within the task manager and restarted the application, but the error still comes up.  I don't think there is another instance running.

There's a chance you don't have write permissions where the database resides.

In my experienc, that's definitely user privileges, or lack of.
Try running with command /usr/bin/mediacenter22 and then "sudo !!" for the same. One of these should open in read only mod, and the other one will open correctly. If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say opening using sudo will work.

When I did the sudo start, it worked without problems, so it was correctly identified as permission problems.

Is there anything to change how permissions are handled?  I cant use my hard drive with it either.  If this is beyond the scope of this forum, no worries (I have had no luck after trying for a few hours searching online).  It seems that when I reinstalled the OS something went wrong and I have no permissions.
