Preset for 'fill properties from filename'
« on: March 25, 2017, 05:16:44 am »

I am using 'rename, move & copy' a lot and I really appreciate the pre-sets that allow me to chose different mapping profiles easily.
'fill properties from filename' does not have a pre-set button. I have different schemes to store flac or sacd iso files on disc, so having a way to store pre-sets in 'fill properties from filename' would be another great little timesaver.
Thanks for a great piece of software. Indispensable to keep a library with 100k tracks in shape.

I tend to tag files both inside and (mostly) outside MC,  MP3Tag being my go to tool of choice for many years. It remembers 'presets' and has a filename to tag function that may help you out.

Hi Spike
good to hear from you again.
I use mp3tag as well for a lot of tagging jobs. However JRiver is unbeatable when it comes to database clean-ups using filters etc. Just gone through a major one and couldn't have done it in mp3tag..

Absolutely. Both tools have their strong points. The filters in MC are great at quickly locating tags that need fixing.
