Newbie - cannot rip a FLAC file
« on: March 31, 2017, 11:28:28 pm »

Hi

I've just installed MC22 so I can rip FLAC files from my CDs.

During set-up, I allowed ape file format too and when I ripped the first CD it was as ape format.

I changed the Options, File Types so only Flac is Yes and now it doesn't read or rip anything.

What do I need to do to be able to rip in Flac format please?

Thanks

When you rip a CD, there are options you can set.  One of these is the encoding format.  There you can set FLAC.

It's also available from Tools > Options > Settings > Encoding.

You can right click on an APE file (or selected files) and convert to a FLAC file.
