MC23 for audiophiles
michael123:
Hello
I would like to see if there are any plans to invest into audiophile community here - pure two channel stereo
I personally raised few things in the past, like reworked DSD /PCM/up-down sample dialog, support of Roon, Tidal.
I don't know if you guys can also better integrate Dirac, it doesn't work stable for me as VST3
I would like to work with Web interface as I did many years with Squeeze
But I have to work via VNC connected remotely. And Gizmo is ....
I did not see anything significant for me, so I stayed with MC21
Awesome Donkey:
Support for Roon and Tidal likely won't happen. The latter has been discussed extensively over the last few years (a search of the forums should cover why).

Hi guys,
I would love some ability of MC to pull together the latest news (eg tour dates, today-in-history, manual config of RSS feeds, etc) from various sources like Wikipedia, Bandsintown, etc. vis-a-vis my listening habits, and present that info as one of its views. I'm not sure it's an audiophile feature as much as it's a music aficionado feature.
Cheers,
Doug

Hi
MC22 is actually super audiophile already, and multichannel surround. Nothing to work on there.
DSD is useless as its low quality compared to PCM.
Upsampling with SOX and parameter would be nice (44.1kHz CD to 96kHz or 88kHz), to get rid of DAC internal LPF.
The SOX LPF however should be configurable, the onyl request I see for use.
Downsampling: why? No use.
Tidal, Spotify, Internet Radio easier integration why not, but not very important

Many of us who have lots of DSD files would disagree with this.

Agreed.

I can think of several and, until DiracLive or another EQ can work in DSD, PCM downsampling is needed.

Why not!
