Linux license for MC 23 on MC 22?
« on: May 23, 2017, 01:01:36 pm »

Dear all.
I installed and enjoyed MC 22 on Fedora 25.
I decided to purchase a license for the product and got it from this page:
https://rover.jriver.com/cgi-bin/buy.cgi?productid=79

I got a license number by email but it is for MC 23 Linux!
I tried to use it anyway on my installed MC 22 and the license manager told me that the version was not matching.

How can I get a proper MC 22 Linux license number or how can I get MC 23 for Fedora?
Thanks.

If you're using the latest MC 22.0.108 build, you can use the MC23 license with it. Once MC23 is out, you can use the MC23 licence with it too (and remove MC22 if you desire). :)

Yep, this build.
Howewer the license manager window is returning: "your license file is for another product"

Actually, I am on an older build. Do you have the link to 108 for Fedora?

There's no official builds for Fedora, it requires a script:

OK, after un-installing and re-installing MC22 from the script, I got it to work. License got accepted.
I am now able to play my DSD 5.6 Mhz sources bitstream, ing to the iQube v5 DAC.
The sound quality is awesome, as good as my previous Windows system, but with a much greater stability. No crashes, MC 22 running at 1% system resource.
Super happy.
Thanks!!!!
