OK, Microsoft finally pushed the final version of the Creators Update out to me today, and the installation went very well. JMRC 22 continued to work excellently. However, the new Class 2 USB Audio Support is not evident. Did they drop it at the last minute? If not, how do I get JMRC 22 to utilize it? I looked for new drivers to set in Options and saw nothing new. How do you get JRiver to use the new UAC2 feature?

You don't need to do anything in Media Center. If you connect a USB audio device, Windows should recognize it and it should show up as any other in MC.

It's there. To verify open up Windows' mixer (playback devices) > check the properties of your DAC (from the Playback tab) > Advanced tab and see if sample rates beyond 96Hz appear in the drop down menu (which you can test).

I don't think MS has it fully implemented yet, even just for playback. Some have reported their USB 2.0 DACs work, neither one of mine do and they work flawlessly in Linux. They appear "partially" functional but no sound (higher bitrates are listed). If they don't work from Control Panel/Sound without a 3rd party driver a future MS update may offer remedy.

Yep, it's there all right. Still don't see it in MC, though. Looks just like the same drivers for the DAC as before.

You need to uninstall your DAC drivers to use the system driver.
Not sure why you would do that though.

As mentioned by RD James you have to uninstall the drivers.

Disadvantage of MS implementation: No ASIO drivers. So if your DAC has an ASIO driver, in most cases this gives better sound quality.

OK, I eliminated the original drivers. There was no system driver available to use. Only when I reinstalled the original driver did the DAC work again.
