I'd like to buy iRiver MC 19 as all version after this couldn't pass Virus test at www.VirusTotal.com Please go and try it out to see that I'm not joking.
Please don't reply with "it's a False positive" as that is not the solution to this problem.

Nope, can't buy older versions.

They are indeed false positives, which happens to a lot of software. If anyone encounters these false positive detections using specific antivirus software, they should report the false positives to the antivirus vendor(s) so they remove the false positive detection (which is the ideal solution). Some antivirus vendors have better heuristics than others (and some have terrible heuristics), hence why some appear with false positives and others (wisely) don't.

JRiver Media Center is safe (any version), and definitely not any kind of malware.

Let's scan the latest MC22 build's installer. Only one false positive detection from a Chinese vendor I've never even heard of (Rising). You'll notice the top antivirus vendors (ESET, Kaspersky, Bitdefender, Symantec, Avira, AVG, etc.) don't detect anything with Rising being the only false positive detection here.

Bottom line? It's safe.

P.S. In fact, Rising doesn't seem to have a false positive submission form (nor an email address) to report false positives to, which is a shame, but likely nothing can be done about this (other than ignoring the false positive). :)

I don't work for JRiver... I help keep the forums safe from "male enhancements" and other sources of sketchy pharmaceuticals.

Awesome Donkey is right, we do not sell old versions.

For the "virus" find, any detections with "Heuristic" in their name should generally be taken with a huge grain of salt anyway. Heuristic-based detections are not actual virus or malware detections, but they detect on some generic patterns, which can hit all sorts of valid software (and often does). How often this goes bad, and in the case it does, how quickly it is resolved, is typically an indicator of the quality of the Antivirus software you are using.

We scan all our builds before uploading them, just to be safe, and our builds are digitally signed to avoid any tempering after upload. There is no virus risk in our software.

This is clearly a false positive, and the "solution" to those is to report it to the AV vendor and have them sort it out. Perhaps the installed software has a function to report it. I have never even heard of "Rising" either.
